Sonya was known for her many good qualities including her kind and progressive heart and positive attitude about everything. She recently embarked upon a career at Rogue Creamery where she was fondly known as the ‘Cheese Lady’. She will be missed by her family; fellow team members and guests of Rogue Creamery; community and friends at Mountain Meadows and the Ashland First Congregational United Church of Christ. Sonya was born in Deadwood, South Dakota June 10, 1941 and grew up in Tacoma, WA, attended Stadium High School, and received post graduate training in cosmetology and is currently licensed in Washington State. She was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband of 46 years, Lawrence ‘Larry’ Rene Gremmels, her parents Nelle and Eugene Satter, and her brother Donald Satter. She is survived by her daughter, Sandy; son, David; brother, Frederick Satter; sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Gene Papp; extended family, and all who worked, worshipped, and volunteered with her. A celebration of Sonya’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Ashland First Congregational United Church of Christ, 717 Siskiyou Blvd, Ashland, Oregon. Memorial donations may be made to the Maslow Project Youth Organization, 500 Monroe St., Medford, OR 97501 www.maslowproject.com Sonya will be in our hearts forever.
