Downtown renovation Photo by Bob Pennell Meter reader Dave Rhodes makes his way through a torn-up sidewalk on Central Avenue in downtown Medford Monday. Crews are replacing old light posts, moving power lines underground and creating new sidewalks, curbs and planters at the intersection of Central and Main Street. The months-long project is slightly behind schedule but should be complete by the middle of October, said a spokesperson for contractor Reed Construction of Eagle Point.
