Bill was born June 24, 1937 in Medford, Ore. to Woodrow Jack and Doris (Rose) Caldwell. He was a 1955 graduate of Eagle Point High School and 1959 graduate of Pacific University in Forest Grove, where he attended on a basketball scholarship. He especially loved his river rafting trips down many rivers including the Middle Fork of The Salmon, the Rogue, the John Day, and a special highlight was his trip down the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon along with many other rivers and lakes. He loved the beautiful high desert Hart Mountain range. Our dad will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and friend to all of his friends who love him so much. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday December 6, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church, 85 S. Holly Street. Bill requested that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the First Presbyterian Church restoration fund. Reception to follow, details available at the service.
