Wilson advances to semifinals Medford's Tyler Wilson advanced to the semifinals after two wins on Saturday in the Lithia Motors Junior Tennis Championships for boys 18-under at the Southern Oregon Tennis Club. The top finishers in the tournament are endorsed to go to the SuperNational USTA Tournament. Semifinal matches are today at 11 a.m. with the finals beginning at 2 p.m. Wilson opened with a 6-0, 6-4 victory over Corvallis' Nick Jamros then ousted Steven Ly of Fairview, 6-0, 6-4 in the quarterfinals. Ric Mortera, also of Medford defeated Nate Schnugg 6-3, 6-2, but fell to top-seeded Brett Joelson of Beaverton, 7-5, 6-1 in the quarterfinals.
