Marshall McKenna, 23, whose last known address was in Ponder, Texas, is believed to be the one who pulled the trigger in the shooting death of Roger L. Huntington, 43, according to a police affidavit. Huntington's body was discovered by a jogger, who called 911 at about 6:40 p.m. Friday, according to Josephine County District Attorney Ryan Mulkins. Responding deputies found Huntington dead in his black Chevrolet Trailblazer, which was parked in front of bathrooms at the main boat ramp, operated by Josephine County Parks on the south side of the lake. On Sunday, Oregon State Police detectives arrested Carroll E. "B.J." Ballard, 22, and Blake R. Sibley, 20, and initially charged them with murder and robbery in connection with Huntington's death. Public records show Ballard and Sibley are from Denton County, Texas. They were being held without bail. Sibley indicated he wants to hire his own lawyer while Ballard was to be assigned a public defender. Ballard, Sibley and McKenna allegedly robbed Huntington at gunpoint at the Selmac location, according to the probable cause affidavit in Josephine County Circuit Court. It is believed that McKenna then shot and killed Huntington, according to arresting officer Jess Elzy of the OSP, based on the affidavit. Mulkins said that Ballard was arrested in Ashland, and Sibley was arrested in Josephine County, although more detailed locations for the arrests weren't divulged. The Josephine County Major Crime team is asking the public for assistance in locating McKenna, according to a news release from OSP. McKenna is a white male with blond hair and green eyes. He is about 5-foot-9 and weighs about 160 pounds. It is possible he is still in Oregon, although current information suggests he may have fled the state, according to police. Anyone with information on McKenna is encouraged to call 911 or the Oregon State Police Southern Command Center at 541-776-6111. The public should not attempt to contact McKenna, and he should be considered armed and dangerous. It's unclear why the men were in the Pacific Northwest. Arrest paperwork indicates Ballard and Sibley had been in Oregon for about a week. Court records show Ballard with a prior address and infractions in southern Oregon. An arrest warrant was issued for him last year after he was accused of stealing a freezer. His Facebook page and arrest paperwork indicate he has relatives in Northern California, and has worked as a fisherman in Alaska. The case is being investigated by the Josephine County Major Crime Team, consisting of members from the Josephine County District Attorney's Office, the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety, the Josephine County Sheriff"s Office and OSP.
