MADGE arrests suspected heroin dealer Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Mar. 31, 2016 at 4:18 PM Posted Mar. 31, 2016 at 4:18 PM » Social News A Medford man is in custody after investigators found evidence of selling heroin during the execution of a search warrant in a Medford apartment Wednesday afternoon. The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement task force arrested Oscar Patricio Munoz-Alfaro, 21, after executing a search warrant at an apartment building in the first block of Mace Road, Medford. According to an affidavit filed in Jackson County Circuit Court, Munoz-Alfaro was allegedly found to be in possession of more than 10 grams of heroin, digital scales, packaging and over $1,000 in cash. Munoz-Alfaro, of the 1400 block of Hilton Road, was lodged Wednesday in the Jackson County Jail without bail. He allegedly admitted the crime to investigators, according to court documents. Munoz-Alfaro allegedly told investigators that he'd break down large amounts of heroin into smaller amounts for sale from "eight balls" to one-ounce packages. Munoz-Alfaro said he'd sell approximately one ounce of heroin per day, according to the affidavit. He also faces a separate felony charge of heroin possession after he allegedly attempted to flee from police early on foot just before 3 a.m. Sept. 1 in the 2400 block of West McAndrews Road. He was allegedly found in possession of small amounts of heroin after failing to jump several fences led to his capture. Munoz-Alfaro will be arraigned and indicted on the charges Thursday afternoon in Jackson County Circuit Court. He has a previous felony conviction for fourth-degree assault, and misdemeanor convictions for identity theft.
