CRIME Man accused of using dead girlfriend's ID for thefts Howard Keith allegedly submitted false health care payment claims Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Aug. 18, 2016 at 5:13 PM Posted Aug. 18, 2016 at 5:13 PM » Social News A Medford man is facing felony charges for allegedly using his dead girlfriend's identification to make false claims for health care payments and bilking the Oregon Department of Human Services out of at least $1,000. Howard Glen Keith, 40, of the 200 block of Bradford Way has been charged with three counts of making a false claim for health care payment, three counts of identity theft and one count of first-degree theft. He was scheduled to be arraigned on the charges Thursday in Jackson County Circuit Court but did not appear, according to court records. Keith's girlfriend, Jennifer Lynn McCown, 40, passed away at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center March 3. A cause of death was not listed in her obituary. An indictment accuses Keith of making a false claim for health care payment on or about March 15, then again on or between March 31 and April 30, and a third time on or about May 15. He is accused of submitting vouchers and using McCown's identification as part of the crimes. He was indicted in late July, court records show.
