Torres recorded two standing-eight counts and two knockdowns in beating quarterfinal opponent Eric Hampton of Illinois. Torres, who fights for Medford-based Bulldog Boxing, faces Mike Montoya of Colorado in the semifinals. Another Bulldog fighter, 11-year-old Sky Diamond, received a bye into the finals of the 55-pound division. The sixth-grader will meet Dominic De La Rosa of California on Saturday.
