Car crash kills Jacksonville man A Jacksonville man died early Tuesday morning in a car accident on Highway 238. Timothy Paul Williamson, 52, was dead at the scene of the accident, which was reported at 3:08 a.m. Tuesday to have occurred at the highway and Mary Ann Drive. According to the Jackson County sheriff's office, it appeared Williamson was headed west when his car left the road for an undetermined reason. Williamson's car didn't cross into oncoming traffic, but left the road on the westbound side and hit an embankment. Williamson's 1965 MG, which had an open top, flipped several times. Williamson was not wearing a seat belt and he was ejected from the car. No one else was in the car. There was no curve in the roadway at that point, or adverse road conditions. Police did not know if alcohol was involved; the accident is still under investigation. Mail Tribune Copyright   The Mail Tribune 1999, Medford, Oregon USA
