Doctors discuss heart health Feb 02, 2012 12:00 AM A A A presentation for women to learn about cardiovascular health will be hosted by Providence Medford Medical Center at the Medford library, 205 S. Central Ave., 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9. Dr. Christopher Cannon and Dr. Melike Arslan will speak on how women can reduce their risk of heart disease by some simple changes in their lifestyle. Heart-healthy recipe samples from the 2012 Northwest Guide to Heart-Healthy Living will also be available. Heart disease is the leading killer of women, with an estimated 420,000 casualties each year.
