Jackson County Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested Moreno-Cerrano on Thursday on charges of possession, manufacture and delivery of marijuana, as well as being an illegal alien. He was lodged in Jackson County Jail without bail. Drugs — Isidro Lopez-Vargas, 22, no address listed. He was lodged in Jackson County Jail without bail. Assault — Javier Jose Jimenez, 33, of the 600 block of North Bartlett Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Jimenez Friday on a charge of felony fourth-degree assault. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Friday night on $5,000 bail. Theft — Debra Jo Travers, 39, of the 1400 block of Hillcourt Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Travers Friday on three counts each of first- and second-degree theft. She was lodged in jail, where she remained Friday night on $27,000 bail. Theft — Mitchell Leroy Wells, 40, of the 1400 block of Hillcourt Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Wells on a first-degree theft charge Friday. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Friday night on $5,000 bail. Advertisement Theft — Sandra Lynn Bryant, 38, of the 400 block of Laurel Street, Central Point. Central Point police arrested Bryant Friday on a charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle. She was lodged in jail, then released after she posted cash bail. Drugs — John Earl McGowan Jr., 27, of Klamath Falls. McGowan was arrested on warrants charging him with possession and delivery of amphetamines, endangering another person and failure to appear on past harassment and disorderly conduct charges. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Friday. Assault — Rita Michelle Todd, 34, of the 1500 block of North Phoenix Road, Medford. Todd appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court Friday on an indictment charging her with third- and fourth-degree assault. She was booked into jail and released. Crime reports Vandalism — Eastwood Cemetery, Medford. Parks workers discovered strewn garbage and toppled headstones at the cemetery Thursday morning, then spotted a man headed through the cemetery and into Bear Creek Park, where he dumped garbage cans. Police arrested Dennis Keith Shandley, 47, of the 9000 block of Ashland Mine Road, Ashland, on criminal mischief, trespass and theft charges. He appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court Friday and pleaded not guilty to two second-degree criminal mischief and a third-degree theft charge. Burglary — 2100 block of Table Rock Road, Medford. Medford police took a report Thursday of a burglary in which a JVC video-cassette recorder and 20 movies were reported stolen. The items had an estimated value of $247. Theft — 1400 block of North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report Thursday of a theft of four tires and rims valued at $1,400. Theft — 7700 block of Gladstone Avenue, White City. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy took a report Friday of a theft of a dirt bike valued at $750. Fire calls Spontaneous combustion — 400 block of Waterline Road, Ashland. The Ashland fire department went to a fire started by a rag used to apply linseed oil that had been wadded up and tossed into a laundry basket, then spontaneously combusted. The homeowner grabbed the burning rag and dowsed it in a sink. Firefighters arrived and aired smoke and fumes out of the house. Traffic crash Injury accident — 5400 block of South Pacific Highway, Talent. A Chevy Blazer waiting behind a left-turning vehicle was struck about noon Thursday by a Ford Taurus driven by Consuela Barrera Maldonado, 37, of the 800 block of King Street, Medford. Both vehicles were totaled and one lane in each direction was closed temporarily while Oregon State police investigated and Jackson County Fire District No. 5 aided the injured. Barrera received minor injuries, as did her passenger, Martin Saavedra Hernandez, 39, and 3-year-old son David Barrera Maldonado. They were taken to Ashland Community Hospital for treatment, officials said. Barrera was cited for careless driving. The Blazer’s driver, RajeanMarie Harney, 44, of Talent, wasn’t injured or cited.
