John Kitzhaber was previously married, but I wonder if he and his ex have any children? — Sandy, Medford Yes, Sandy, Kitzhaber and his most recent wife, Sharon Lacroix Kitzhaber, have a son, Logan, who is now 17. The Kitzhabers, who were married in 1995, divorced in 2003. The governor lived in the Portland area in recent years to remain closer to his son, who split his time between his mother and father. Sharon Kitzhaber is familiar to many Oregonians as the state's first lady during her husband's first two terms in office. They divorced shortly after he left office following his second term. He was re-elected in 2010 and 2014 and resigned last week in the midst of a scandal over a variety of issues related to his fiancee's involvement in public policy. While Sharon's name may be familiar, she was not John Kitzhaber's first wife. That would have been Rosemary Linehan, who was married to the future governor from 1971 to 1974. They met while he was a medical student at Oregon Health Science University, and the two lived for a time in Denver, where he had an internship.
