Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Email Story to a Friend January 30, 2006 Prospect man dies in crash A Prospect man was killed early Saturday in a car crash on Mill Creek Road. Twenty-three-year-old William Keran Reid was pronounced dead at the scene in the 1600 block of Mill Creek Road after his 1999 Dodge Dakota drifted into a ditch and struck a tree. The truck then rolled and came to rest on its top, Jackson County sheriff’s department officials said in a news release. An investigation into the 3:30 a.m. crash is continuing. The accident was reported by Reid’s friends who were in the area of the crash. Sheriff Mike Winters said that weather was probably not a factor in the crash. He said the weather at the time of the crash was rainy and windy, but the roads were not slick. "I don’t think they got too much snow that low," Winters said. Winters said toxicology results are pending to determine if Reid was under the influence of intoxicants at the time of the crash.
