By Vickie Aldous For the Mail Tribune November 12. 2014 3:59PM Ashland stabbing suspect pleads not guilty to attempted murder, assault Benjamin Charles Williamson A man who allegedly stabbed another man he found in his Ashland home entered not guilty pleas Wednesday afternoon on multiple charges, including attempted murder. Appearing by video monitor in court, Benjamin Charles Williamson was indicted on charges of attempted murder, first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, third-degree assault and fourth-degree assault. Williamson, 34, remains in the Jackson County Jail on $500,000 bail. A pre-trial conference was set for Monday, Nov. 24. According to a police report, Williamson came home on Monday, Nov. 3, and found a man in his house, at 1361 Quincy St., Ashland,. Williams is suspected of stabbing the man several times before leaving his home and calling 911 to report himself. He then waited for police. Ashland police responded to reports of a stabbing at 9:30 p.m. The victim, also 34 years old, was known by Williamson's wife and had been let in by her earlier in the day and was visiting, according to a police report.
