Ashland wins behind Westrick's 11 strikeouts By Staff report Mar 27, 2019 08:46 PM A A PHOENIX, Ariz. — Junior right-hander Eli Westrick pitched a three-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts in Ashland’s final game at the Greenway Festival Tournament, a 4-0 win over Evergreen of Colorado on Wednesday afternoon. Westrick walked and scored Ashland’s first run in the third inning. He also singled and had an RBI in the fourth. Nick Buccino had one hit and drove in two runs for the Grizzlies (6-3), who recorded seven hits in the game. Ashland, which is also 3-1 in Midwestern League play, faces Henley next Tuesday in one of its final nonconference games of the 2019 season.
