An Ashland police officer Friday arrested Jones on charges of first-degree theft, marijuana possession, delivering marijuana near a school, manufacturing marijuana near a school, altering a weapon’s identification number and frequenting a drug house. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained late Friday on $64,000 bail. Drugs — Alisha Revel Lund, 29, no known address. A Medford police officer Friday arrested Lund, a fugitive from California, on a charge of methamphetamine possession. She was lodged in jail without bail. Drugs — Jorge Luis Villegas-Cavada, 34, no known address. A Jackson County Narcotics Enforcement Team agent Friday arrested Villegas-Cavada on two counts of delivering marijuana, two counts of possessing marijuana and being an illegal alien. He was lodged in jail without bail. Drugs — Beatriz Rodriguez-Velazquez, 27, of the 100 block of Columbus Avenue, Medford. A county narcotics agent Friday arrested Rodriguez-Velazquez on charges of delivering and possessing methamphetamine and being an illegal alien. She was lodged in jail without bail. Drugs — Sandra Jean Glenn, 34, no known address. A Medford police officer Friday arrested Glenn on a charge of methamphetamine possession. She was lodged in jail, where she remained late Friday on $5,000 bail. Drugs — Steven Neal Mahoney, 23, no known address. A Medford police officer Friday arrested Mahoney on charges of methamphetamine possession and providing false information to police about a crime, and three warrants charging him with failure to appear in court. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Friday on $19,000 bail. Advertisement Theft — Mark Steven Bucey, 45, of the 5600 block of Sardine Creek Road, Gold Hill. Bucey appeared Friday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with first- degree theft. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Drugs — Richard Matthew Bain, 28, of the 2800 block of Spring Hills Drive, Medford. Bain appeared Friday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with methamphetamine possession. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Crime reports Burglary — 1800 block of East Barnett Road, Medford. A Medford police officer Friday took a report of a burglary in which a purse with $500 cash was stolen. Miscellaneous Rescue — Emergency crews helped a woman to safety Friday night after she took a nasty fall while walking on a trail near Lost Creek Lake. The woman, whose name was not available, was taken to a Medford hospital with injuries following the 8 p.m. incident. Jackson County Fire District No. 4 Capt. Rick Lowe said she was not badly hurt. Initial reports said the woman fell about 50 feet down a steep embankment just off Highway 62. Lowe said Fire District 3 and Mercy Flights crews also responded. Tree down — A large tree fell Friday night in the roadway near the intersection of 10th and Cottage streets in Medford, police said. Nobody was injured and no vehicles were damaged when the tree went down at about 10 p.m., Medford police Sgt. Mark Boone said. The tree blocked one lane of traffic on 10th Street. Boone said he guessed wet weather saturated the soil, ultimately causing the tree to fall.
