Man arrested for allegedly stealing marijuana plant, pointing gun at woman Monday Oct 12, 2015 at 11:49 AM Oct 12, 2015 at 11:49 AM A man was arrested early Sunday after he allegedly swiped a medical marijuana plant from a Medford backyard, then pointed a gun at the plant's owner when she chased after him in her car. Justin Nadeau, 27, is suspected of stealing the plant from a home in the 1200 block of Corona Avenue. Medford police Lt. Mike Budreau said a family member alerted the woman to activity in her backyard at about 4:15 a.m. She went to look and caught Nadeau jumping over a fence and into a truck before driving away.  The woman followed in her car and was able to get the license plate. Both vehicles pulled onto Interstate 5 and started driving south. Budreau said the woman wanted to get a better look at Nadeau so she could include a description in her report to police. She pulled up alongside his vehicle in the right lane. "That's when he pointed a gun," Budreau said. The woman backed off and drove to the Circle K at Riverside Drive and Barnett Avenue, where she made a report to police.  Officers later found the suspect's pickup driving north on Highway 99 in Phoenix. They pulled it over and arrested Nadeau without incident. He was the only person in the vehicle.  He was armed with a Springfield XD .40-caliber pistol, which was loaded. He was arrested and booked in the jail, but released on his own recognizance.  — Ryan Pfeil
