Paving planned for Highway 99 south of Talent By Local report May 25, 2018 12:01 PM A A Two nights of paving are planned next week on Highway 99 from south of Talent to the Ashland city limits. The work is part of a $5.4 million highway improvement project.. Motorists should be prepared for short delays along Highway 99 from 4 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, and Thursday, May 31. Contractor Knife River Materials broke ground on the project in April, starting off by excavating new storm water drains and crossings on the highway between Rapp Road and Creel Road. Oregon Department of Transportation inspectors will be on site daily to monitor traffic control, road conditions and to keep business access signed and open. RVTD’s Ashland Route 10 bus stops along Highway 99 will remain open and, generally unaffected during the construction work, according to an ODOT release. Cone Zone
