CURRENT RULES Lower Rogue Canyon — No fishing with bait Sept. 1 through Oct. 31 from Roster Creek near Agness upstream to Whiskey Creek near Rainie Falls. Upper Rogue — Flies only Sept. 1 through Oct. 31 upstream of Gold Ray Dam. Bait is allowed Nov. 1 through Dec. 31 upstream of the Rogue Elk boat ramp, but fishing allowed only with artificial flies and lures Nov. 1 through Dec. 31 downstream of the Rogue Elk boat ramp. PROPOSALS Advertisement Repeals — Separate proposals to rescind the Lower Rogue Canyon ban and the Nov. 1 through Dec. 31 ban from the Rogue Elk boat ramp to Gold Ray Dam. No current proposal to change the Sept. 1-Oct. 31 bait ban on the entire upper Rogue. Alternative ban — A so-called "compromise" proposal to extend the lower bait-fishing deadline from the Rogue Elk boat ramp to the Shady Cove boat ramp Nov. 1 through Dec. 31.
