The event will include pre-1965 hot rods, rat rods, lead sleds, choppers and other custom vehicles on display, a pin-up contest, raffles and live music. Liberty Ride: A motorcycle rally benefiting Firehouse Five Foundation will begin at 9 a.m. at Jackson County Fire District No. 5 Station 1, 5811 S. Pacific Highway, Talent. Participants will receive a map for a two-hour ride that will end at a Lake of the Woods day-use area with a barbecue lunch catered by Fire District 5 volunteer firefighters. Sunday, Aug. 24 Railroad Park Sunday: Visitors of all ages can ride on steam and diesel trains and motorcars from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the second and fourth Sundays of every month through October at the Medford Railroad Park at Table Rock Road and Berrydale Avenue. Small children can ride Thomas and Percy trains and older kids can operate the Hogwarts Express. An antique telegraph service and exhibits of full-sized and miniature trains, model-railroad layouts and historical railroad equipment also are available. The park is home to the Southern Oregon Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society, the Rogue Valley Model Railroad Club, Southern Oregon Live Steamers, Medford Garden Railroaders and Morse Telegraph Club. Alpaca Open House: Andresen Acres Alpacas will hold a free open house from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 924 Linn Road, Eagle Point. The ranch has a herd of more than 20 Huacaya alpacas, and the event will include tours of the alpaca farm, and alpaca yarn, socks and scarves will be for sale. Families are encouraged to attend.
