The show, held at the Jackson County Expo Feb. 14-15, drew a crowd of nearly 7,000 people to see the 105 cars on display. The show was a benefit for the Child Development and Rehabilitation Center of Oregon Health Sciences University, which treats children with diagnoses primarily of cerebral palsy or developmental delay, as well as spina bifida and craniofacial disorder. Rogue Valley Street Rod car shows through the years have resulted in contributions totaling $582,000.  Winners at this year's show were: Best of Show, 1936 Auburn Speedster, Arlene Dickinson, White City. Peoples’ Choice, 1936 Ford, John and Sharon Winkes, Sun Lake, Ariz. Best Individual Display, 1962 Volkswagen bus, Sage Wolffeather, Phoenix. Best Club Display, first place, Rogue Valley Classic Chevy Club, Medford; second place, Rogue Valley Mustangs & Classic Fords, Medford. Best Motorcycle, 1949 Nimbus, Joseph Ruell, Eagle Point. George Bailey Award, 1941 Graham, Gene Davenport of Cutten, Calif. Clancy Johnson Award, John and Karen Keller, Eagle Point. Long Distance Award, 1941 Willys, Byron Hisey, Newman, Calif. Rogue Valley Street Rods President’s Pick, 1969 Dodge Charger, Kent Sanford, Gold Hill. Central Point Mayor’s Award, 1932 Ford pickup, Roger Huffman, Grants Pass. Child Development and Rehabilitation Award, 1957 Buick wagon, Ken and Candice Beatty, Grants Pass. Rogue Valley Street Rods was assisted by eight local military veterans, Cub Scout Pack 48 and Boy Scout Troop 88, both of Eagle Point, and members of local car clubs Kar Knutz, Contemporary Autos of Southern Oregon, Jefferson State Street Rods, Oregon Vintage Motorcycles, Rogue Valley Corvettes and Rogue Valley Classic Chevys.
