Investigators do not know what caused the car to fall down the hill and onto Linden Lane at about 2:45 a.m. Several people were sleeping inside the parked vehicle at the time, with two others sleeping on top of the car, according to Grants Pass police. The 10-month-old boy suffered a fractured skull and was airlifted to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland. Police did not release the child’s name, but said he was in stable condition late Thursday. Axell Joel Eyre, 19, no known address, was airlifted to Oregon Health and Science University in Portland for treatment of fractures to his spine and arms, police said. Samantha Seals, 19, of Grants Pass, and Mitchell Hummingbird, 24, no known address, were both taken to Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass for treatment of their injuries, police said. The case will be referred to the Josephine County District Attorney’s Office for review.
