Shooting reported near Grants Pass By Mail Tribune staff Feb 07, 2022 08:31 AM A A Jackson County Sheriff’s Office detectives are questioning one individual following reports of a shooting outside Grants Pass near the Josephine County border. The shooting occurred Sunday evening at the 600 block of Savage Creek Road, according to a short release from the sheriff’s office. The release does not say what time the shooting was reported. Jackson County Sheriff’s Office detectives interviewed one person for their involvement in the shooting Sunday night. Although police are still investigating the circumstances behind the shooting, the sheriff’s office believes there’s no threat to the public at this time. More information is expected as the investigation develops.
