If so, you know how awesome they are. There are currently two of these lion-king guys at the shelter, hoping to find their forever homes: 8-year-old Moby, pictured here, and 4-year-old Simba. Don’t pass up Moby because of his age. PERSONALITY : This big boy gets along fine with the other kitties who live with him in Whiskerville, our free-roaming cat room. He loves being brushed, and he is, as one of the FOTAS volunteers stated, “a total schmoozer.” Give Moby a quiet home, and he’ll be a wonderful companion. HIGHLIGHTS : Moby is friendly, funny and fabulous. He’s happy to sit quietly with anyone who will give him attention — and if there’s no one around, he uncomplainingly curls up in the nearest basket. AVAILABLE : At the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 5595 S. Pacific Hwy., between Talent and Phoenix, open 7 days a week. COST : Moby’s adoption fee is $45, which includes a wellness visit at a local veterinarian office. Moby is neutered.
