The Beavers are undefeated in 13 contests at home entering today's Pac-12 men’s basketball game against Washington. OSU (15-7, 6-4) has outscored its opponents in the last four minutes of all five conference home games, with four of those decided by single digits. The Beavers haven’t found that formula on the road, having outscored the home team just once following the under-four-minute media timeout. “We call the last four minutes of the game ‘our time’ because that’s what coach tries to focus on, especially in practice,” said junior forward Jarmal Reid, who powered his way to a team-high 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the floor coming off the bench in Thursday’s 59-55 home victory against Washington State. “We just know in the last four minutes we got to win them and it will put us over the top," said Reid. "We have been doing that so far and it’s been working.” Reid scored seven points in the last four minutes Thursday, including two free throws with 19 seconds left to give the Beavers a four-point lead. The Beavers are 12-1 when leading with five minutes to play. The only blip was a 71-69 loss to Auburn in Las Vegas in which OSU was up one with five minutes left. They are also 5-2 in games decided by single digits, with the losses coming to Auburn and Quinnipiac. In the last two minutes of games this season, OSU is holding opponents to 24.4 percent (19 of 78) from the field, including 4 of 44 (.091) at the 3-point line. OSU is 67 of 85 (78.8) at the free-throw line in the last two minutes of games. OUT OF SLUMP Guard Langston Morris-Walker slightly pulled himself out of a slump against the Cougars. He had six points on 2-of-5 shooting and added seven rebounds and two assists. Morris-Walker had shot 5 of 27 in the previous four games. His second of two 3-pointers gave the Beavers the lead for good at 46-44 with 4:35 left and opened an 8-0 run. COOLING DOWN LACY The Beavers made Washington State guard DaVonte Lacy just about disappear Thursday night. Lacy scored a 49 combined points in a home split with California and Arizona and came in with a 17.7-point average (fourth in the Pac-12), but OSU and Gill weren’t so kind. Lacy shot 2 of 10 and finished with five points, three rebounds and three turnovers. He had 16 points against the Beavers earlier this season in a 62-47 OSU win in Pullman. PROTECTING GILL Oregon State is 13-0 at home, matching the record set by the 1979-80 team, which finished 13-0 at home. The 1963-64 and 1983-84 teams also finished the season undefeated at home at 12-0 and 11-0, respectively. Only three other Beavers teams have won 13 games at Gill. The 1954-55 squad went 14-3, 2008-09 was 13-7 and 2011-12 was 14-6.
