Body may be missing White City man A body discovered Saturday near a Fish Lake campground is believed to be that of 52-year-old White City man apparently missing since early May, according to Jackson County Sheriff's Department officials. Sgt. John Atkins tentatively identified the man as Lawrence Edward Lenzi, who listed a White City post office box address. The county medical examiner is expected to conduct an autopsy this week to positively identify the victim and the cause of death. "In all probability, it is Mr. Lenzi, but we can't say for certain," said Atkins, noting there was extensive decomposition. The body was discovered Saturday by a relative of Lenzi after two separate searches by sheriff's deputies failed to locate him. Lenzi was reported missing Thursday by his wife. A Mercury Comet sedan belonging to Lenzi was found May 20 parked in a space at the North Fork Campground, near milemarker 26 on Highway 140. Campers indicated it had been there since May 8. Sheriff's deputies and U.S. Forest Service workers searched the area, to no avail, before towing the car. After Lenzi was reported missing Thursday, two deputies searched the wooded area near the camp Friday, again finding nothing. They were set to return on Sunday, but a family search party discovered human remains Saturday afternoon on a game trail a quarter-mile from the campground. Search and rescue workers were called to the scene late Saturday to retrieve the body. Initial review showed no evidence of violence, Atkins said.
