"After years of being asked about my healthy, shiny hair, I am thrilled to share my beauty secret with you," the Nashville star says in a new video. "It's feminism!" Britton goes on to promote the benefits of feminism as though she was in a shampoo commercial. If only feminism was as socially accepted as washing one's hair. "When used regularly, feminism has been known to produce amazing results," Britton explains, "such as a woman's right to vote, a woman's right to her own body" and more. The video was written and directed by Britton's Nashville co-star Laura Benanti as part of The Representation Project's latest #AskHerMore campaign, which encourages reporters to ask women more substantial questions than ones about their appearances. "Feminism: It's not what's on my head. It's what's in it," Britton concludes in the video. Connie Britton has the perfect response for everyone who only cares to ask her about her hair.
