October 08. 2014 2:42PM Call for musicians Local bands, duos and solo artists can get their music into the spotlight for a worthy cause when the 2015 South Stage Cellars Rising Stars competition gets underway in February. Local bands, duos and solo artists can get their music into the spotlight for a noble cause when the 2015 South Stage Cellars Rising Stars competition gets underway in February. The fourth annual competition's semi-final rounds begin Feb. 28 and culminate with a final round on March 28 at a yet-to-be-named location in Jacksonville. The competition will be judged by a panel of professionals and by popular votes. In the past, prizes have included cash, recording studio time, live interviews with Eric Teal on Jefferson Public Radio and interviews in Southern Oregon Magazine, along with a lot of local recognition.
