Ruch students hold Dash for Diapers Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Apr. 29, 2015 at 12:38 PM Posted Apr. 29, 2015 at 12:38 PM » Social News A 5-kilometer "Diaper Dash" Run/Walk fundraiser will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at Ruch School in the Applegate Valley. The event grew out of the Oregon Community Foundation's "Community 101" program, in which students learn about philanthropy, complete a community service project and award grants to non-profit organizations of their choice. The students chose to support families with young children who use the services of the Family Nurturing Center and Community Works and are often hard-pressed to afford diapers. Race participants are asked to contribute a packet of diapers or make a cash donation for diapers as an entry fee. To register, go to: www.medford.k12.or.us , click on "Schools" and then click on "Ruch." Donation checks for diapers can be made payable and mailed to: Ruch School, 156 Upper Applegate Road, Jacksonville, OR 97530.
