Brittany Hodges won the 200- and 400-meter events, while teammate Brittany Lawson took first in the long jump and 300 hurdles. North’s 87 points edged Klamath Union (54) for the top spot. Hodges raced to a winning time of 25.91 seconds in the 200, then recorded a 59.67 in the 400. Lawson, competing in the long jump for the first time, recorded a jump 16 feet, 8 inches and notched a 47.7 time in the hurdles. North’s Brianne Hwang also took two events, the 3,000 and 1,500, while Patina Taylor grabbed wins in the triple jump and javelin for Grants Pass. Class 2A/1A Track GLENDALE INVITATIONAL — At Glendale, Cascade Christian and New Hope combined for nine boys and girls victories at the five-team contest. Cascade Christian’s Michael Clark took both hurdle races with a 17.4 in the 110-meter highs and 45.0 in the 300 intermediates. Ben Kinney won the 400 in 55.5 and was second in the 800 with a time of 2:26.2. The Cascade Christian boys 4x100 relay team of Clark, Brandon Rodriguez, Levi Young and Kinney ran a 49.9 to win. For the girls, Cascade Christian was second with 76 points behind Glendale’s 162. New Hope scored 70, Umpqua Valley Christian 64 and Days Creek 50. Cascade Christian’s Sarah Brown claimed the 400 in 1:07.9. She was third in the 800 in 2:52.2. Crystal Josephson won the long jump with a leap of 15-1¼ . SOC Boys Tennis North Medford 8, Klam.
