A woman at the home answered the door after someone knocked and asked for a family member. Five people reportedly rushed in and assaulted the woman, who sustained injuries to her face, police said. At least one of the robbers was armed with a handgun. Police said the robbers menaced the occupants with the gun and a baseball bat while they stole property. Three suspects were found while police responded to an unrelated call Tuesday afternoon at the Motel 6 on Alba Street, according to Medford police Lt. Justin Ivens. Christian Lamar Brice, 18, Jabriel Aaquann Fleming, 20, and Alfonso Kesler, 17, were arrested at the motel. Ivens said stolen property recovered at the motel included miscellaneous electronics. A fourth suspect, Alejandro Medina-Mello, 18, was arrested Wednesday after he was stopped in the 800 block of Krissy Dee while driving a dark green Honda Accord believed to have been involved in the case. Moreno is being held in the Jackson County Jail on $125,000 bail, while Brice, Fleming and Medina-Mello are each being held on $100,000 bail. Medina-Mello has been flagged as a registered sex offender, according to Sunday jail records. Information about the current custody situation for Kesler, the 17-year-old minor, was not immediately available. Last week police reported Kesler was lodged in the Jackson County Juvenile Detention center. All five suspects face second-degree burglary, second-degree robbery and third-degree assault charges.  Reach staff reporter Vickie Aldous at 541-776-4486 or [email protected].
