Patsy was born July 3, 1935 in Leon, Iowa to George and Liz Scott. Over the years the family moved to various spots throughout the country before settling in Albany, Ore. where Patsy attended high school and met the love of her life. Patsy and George were married 60 years after being wed in Albany before relocating to Ashland where they made their life and raised two boys, George R. and Bruce. Patsy and George opened their arms, hearts, and home to many throughout the years expanding their family with blood and adopted relatives. Patsy worked hard and long hours alongside her husband in the construction business for many years at Continental Construction, Easy Valley Construction, Every Ready Construction, and Quality Rock Products. She was happiest with her family and friends, many of whom she came to know through their years in business. She truly enjoyed hosting gatherings, swimming, crocheting, and reading. Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, George Allen Harshman; parents, George and Liz Scott; and brother, Bobby. Patsy is survived by her sons, George R. and his wife Bobbi (Central Point), Bruce and Betsy (Talent), many grand and great-grandchildren along with nieces and nephews. A caring, giving, loving, and compassionate woman of grace who touched so many will be dearly missed. Our cheerleader will live in our hearts forever as we celebrate the memories of Patsy and George in our lives and the beauty of their reunion. A celebration of life and the reunion of George and Patsy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Christian Church of Ashland, located at the corner of 2nd and B Street in Ashland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home in Ashland, Ore.
