Employees at Laurel Residential Care reported Ray Haynes, 60, missing Friday morning, Central Point police officer David Croft said. Haynes had asked the care-facility worker who handles his affairs for money to go camping near Jacksonville Thursday, a police report said. No one knew exactly where he planned to go. Haynes has depression and schizophrenia, for which he takes medication, and he hasn’t had his medication since Thursday morning, Croft said. He isn’t supposed to consume alcohol with the medication, but he had been drinking Thursday, heightening concerns. Haynes was last seen about 4 p.m. Thursday. He was wearing jeans, a blue plaid shirt with long sleeves, and a dark-colored baseball cap. Advertisement He is about 6 feet tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has a fair complexion and salt and pepper hair. Haynes moved to the care center about a month ago from the Veterans Affairs facility in White City and seemed happy at the new care center, Croft said. Anyone with information about where Haynes might be can call Central Point police at 664-5578.
