Medford Police Department investigators also believe there may be more of Daniel Paul Zeman’s alleged victims in the community. Zeman, of the 1000 block of Glengrove Avenue in Central Point, was taken into custody Monday on three counts of first-degree sodomy and three counts of first-degree sexual abuse. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday in lieu of $6 million bail. Medford police Lt. Tim George identified Zeman as a former school bus driver and motorcycle enthusiast who may have used those positions to gain access to his alleged victims, who were all pre- adolescent or adolescent males. "We believe there are several other victims out there," George said. "It’s a disturbing case, to say the least." Advertisement Zeman has no criminal history. Medford police detectives began investigating Zeman last December, initially while probing a case that had expired under Oregon’s statute of limitations on certain sex crimes, George said. The charges stem from disclosures made by one alleged victim, who told police he was abused by Zeman over a period of time between ages 9 and 12, George said. The alleged victim is under 24 years old now, he said. Police are investigating cases of alleged abuse between 1990 and 1998 at Zeman’s former residence on the 1600 block of Highcrest Drive in east Medford, police said. Detectives urge anyone with information about other potential alleged victims to telephone 774-2230.
