Michael Kevin Ward Apr 17, 2016 12:00 AM A A Michael Ward, 68, of Cottage Grove, Ore. passed away March 27, 2016 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born March 22, 1948 to William and Catherine (Greene) Ward in San Francisco, Calif. Michael worked for many years as a carpenter as well as head cook for Lost Creek Lake Marina for 13 seasons. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, and was an enormous fan of the San Francisco 49ers and the Giants. Michael is survived by his mother, Catherine Ward, of Sacramento, Calif.; his children, A.J. Ward, Adam Ward, Aylan Ward, Aazul Ward, and Shawna Gutierrez-Sansburn, all of Oregon; his brothers, Joe Ward and Rob Ward, both of Cottage Grove, Ore.; his sister, Kathie Ward, of Sacramento, Calif; and four grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the Riverhouse, Shady Cove, Ore.
