Five-run 10th boosts Timberjacks past Rockies PORTLAND -- The Timberjacks picked up their 18th win of the season with a 12-7 extra-inning victory over the Portland Rockies in Monday's Northwest League action. After Portland took a 2-0 lead in the first inning, Southern Oregon snatched the lead back in the third inning exploding for seven runs on five hits. Portland chipped away at the Timberjacks lead with a two runs in the bottom of the third on Dan Phillips two-run homer. The Rockies added two more runs in the fifth and a single run in the eighth to tie the game at seven after Souther Oregon reliever Bryan Mazur gave up a solo home run to Greg Catalanotte in the eighth. The Timberjacks scored five runs in the 10th to seal the win. Jeremy Schieds gave the Timberjacks their first two-runs of the inning with a two-run home run, his first ever in the professional ranks.
