Medford police Thursday arrested Jensen on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, being a felon in possession of a weapon and warrants charging him with several probation violations and failure to appear in court. At about 1:45 p.m. Thursday, a Medford community service officer spotted Jensen near the intersection of Second and Holly streets. When Jensen saw the officer he ran, prompting police to deploy Tiko the police dog, Lt. Mike Moran said. Tiko had little trouble finding Jensen hiding in the bushes, about one block from where he was first seen. Moran said Jensen was in possession of a switchblade and a small amount of drugs when police arrested him. Jensen was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained late Thursday on $55,000 bail. Burglary, theft — Ryan James Hiebert, 25, of the 2200 block of Taylor Road, Central Point. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies Thursday arrested Hiebert on two counts of first- degree theft and first-degree burglary. Police suspect Hiebert entered a home on May 30, stealing a firearm and other items, sheriff’s detective Colin Fagan said. Hiebert was lodged in jail, where he remained late Thursday on $40,000 bail. Drugs — Andrea Eulalia Gomez, 27, of the 300 block of Effie Street, Medford. Medford police officers Thursday arrested Gomez on charges of possession of amphetamines, delivering a controlled substance near a school, manufacturing a controlled substance near a school and first-degree child neglect. She was lodged in jail, where she remained late Thursday on $55,000 bail. Theft, forgery — Shonna Lee Coleman-George, 30, of the 2600 block of Hadley Circle, White City. A sheriff’s deputy Thursday arrested Coleman-George on three counts of identity theft, three counts of second-degree forgery, two counts of third-degree theft, second-degree theft and a probation violation. She was lodged in jail without bail. Assault — Imanuel Adali Luviano, 19, of the 400 block of South Columbus Avenue, Medford. A Medford police officer Thursday arrested Luviano on charges of third-degree assault, fourth- degree assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Thursday on $10,000 bail. Assault — David James Brickley, 21, of the 600 block of Collinwood Court, Medford. A Medford police officer Thursday arrested Brickley on charges of third-degree assault and harassment. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Thursday on $28,000 bail. Advertisement Robbery, theft — Leif Eric Sword, 21, of the 1100 block of Spring Street, Medford. A Medford police officer Thursday arrested Sword on charges of third-degree robbery, third-degree theft, harassment and second-degree criminal mischief. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Thursday on $13,000 bail. Drugs — Steven Ray Hill, 42, of Longview, Wash. Hill made his initial appearance Thursday in Jackson County Circuit Court on a charge of possession of amphetamines. He was booked into jail then released on his own recognizance. Theft, forgery — Leonard Randy Pekarek Jr., 43, of the 100 block of Fourth Street, Talent. Pekarek made his initial appearance Thursday in Circuit Court on charges of identity theft, first-degree theft and first-degree forgery. He was booked into jail then released on his own recognizance. Drugs — Steven Donald Lingren, 34, of the 6800 block of Court Drive, Central Point. A sheriff’s deputy Thursday arrested Lingren on charges of possession of amphetamines and a probation violation. He was lodged in jail without bail. Drugs — Brianna Marie Collins, 19, of the 1500 block of Dixie Lane, Medford. Collins made her initial appearance Thursday in Circuit Court on a charge of possession of amphetamines. She was booked into jail then released on her own recognizance. Fire calls Lightning fires — An Oregon Department of Forestry crew in an airplane searched Thursday for "sleeper fires" sparked a night earlier by lightning. ODF firefighters handled four small, lightning-caused fires Wednesday night in Jackson and Josephine counties. In Jackson County, fires were located near Soda Mountain, Sterling Creek and West Griffin Creek. Another lightning-caused fire burned less than one-tenth of an acre near Wonder in Josephine County, ODF Fire Prevention Specialist Dennis Turco said. No further fires were reported Thursday.
