Sheriff’s deputies arrested Babcock Saturday on a warrant for writing bad checks, and on charges of unlawful possession of ephedrine and intent to manufacture a controlled substance. She is being held in the Jackson County Jail on $19,000 bail. Theft — Cassie Jean Fuqua, 50, address unknown. Ashland Police arrested Fuqua on charges of trespassing, theft and distribution of an amphetamine. She is being held in the county jail on $38,000 bail. Theft — Robin Elizabeth Sliger, 44, of Kirby. Medford Police arrested Sliger on charges of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and theft. She is being held in the county jail on $13,000 bail. Fire call Fire — A fire destroyed an attached shed and spread into the attic of an apartment building in the 500 block of Benson Street Sunday afternoon, Medford fire officials said. The blaze, which was contained in 10 minutes by five fire engines, was caused by fireworks, fire investigators determined. Advertisement Damage was estimated at $17,000 and no one was reportedly injured in the fire.
