Keith Templeman Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Nov. 14, 2014 @ 2:00 am Posted Nov. 14, 2014 @ 2:00 am » Social News Keith Templeman, 93, passed away Wednesday November 5, 2014 in Medford, Ore. He was born on a farm near Altoona, Kans. May 26, 1921 to Arthur and Lucy Green Templeman. He graduated from high school in 1938, farmed until enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1944, and served overseas in Japan. After his discharge in 1946, he met and married Betty Burright in Enid, Okla. in 1948. Keith worked for Long Bell Lumber Company in Enid and was transferred to Texas, Calif., and Klamath Falls, moving to Medford in 1955. He worked in the wood products industry until his retirement in 1987. He had a lifelong love of gardening, and joined the Master Gardeners. He was an active member of the First Christian Church for many years. He is survived by his wife, Betty; their four children, Carol Vogt (Walt) of Portland, Dennis Templeman (Sandy) of Portland, Joyce Templeman (Patti) of Talent, and Lisa Forbes (Rob) of Prineville; three grandchildren, Jordan Forbes, Megan Forbes, and Angelina Templeman; two brothers, Lee Templeman (Doris) and Dale Templeman (Bobbie); and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Keith's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the First Christian Church, 1900 Crater Lake Avenue, Medford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to Asante Ashland Hospice or First Christian Church of Medford.
