Beverly June Marquess Thursday Oct 13, 2016 at 2:00 AM July 7. 1928 - October 10, 2016 Beverly "Bev" June Marquess, 88, passed away October 10, 2016. She was born July 7, 1928 to Cleve and Ethel Collins in Lebanon, Ore. Bev graduated from Lebanon High School in 1945 then went on to attend Oregon State University for two years. There she met her future husband, Walt. They were married January 18, 1948. The couple enjoyed 58 years of marriage before Walt passed away in 2006. Bev was office manager for Marquess & Associates Consulting Engineers before her retirement in 1980. In her retirement years she loved card-making, bingo, and trips to Seven Feathers. She loved playing online scrabble with her nephew, Dick Keiser. She lived the past nine years at Horton Plaza where she made numerous friends and had the time of her life. Bev is survived by her son, Dan (Susan) Marquess; her daughter, Dory Marquess (Leon Clay); her grandchildren and their spouses, Kelly Marquess and Zeb Tivnan, Kristin and Lencin Carnighan, Michael and Alissa Marquess, and Melissa and James Strickland; and great-grandchildren, Sarah, James, Leland, Azalea, and Skylar. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walt; her brothers, Earl, Carl, Paul, and Jim Collins; and sisters, Claire Keiser, Ruth Lee, and Norma Jaska. A memorial celebration of Bev's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Perl Funeral Home, 2100 Siskiyou Blvd., Medford, Ore. 97504.
