He was born February 1, 1944 to Wesley and Edythe Eaton in Santa Barbara, Calif. He married Gail Holsapple May 19, 1962 in San Diego, Calif. They were happily married for over 53 years. Boyd served our country in the United States Navy as a radio operator aboard the USS Magoffin during the Vietnam War, and also in Da Nang. Following his release from the Navy, Boyd spent 35 years with the 3M Company. Boyd enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting, but most important, spending time with his wife and family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Gail; his daughters, Kym and Shannon; his sister, Marianne; his granddaughters, Autumn and Madison; 2 great grandsons; and many loved family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his grandmother, Clara Ellis. A memorial service with military honor will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the Eagle Point National Cemetery, Eagle Point, Ore. Chaplain Paul Hagadorn will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please honor Boyd with memorial contributions in his name to the charity of your choice.
