Main St., Eagle Point. Eric Dittmer, professor emeritus of geology and environmental studies at Southern Oregon University, will discuss earthquake awareness and a history of earthquakes in the Pacific Northwest. Current data indicate 8- and 9-magnitude earthquakes occur every 250 to 500 years, with the latest event recorded about 300 years ago. The free presentation will include handouts and visuals. There will be time for questions after. Anyone is welcome to attend.
