Medford teen dies in single-vehicle crash Sunday Apr 15, 2018 at 8:58 PM Apr 15, 2018 at 9:26 PM Local report A 17-year-old boy from Medford died in a single-vehicle crash off of North Foothill Road Sunday afternoon, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said in a release. Witnesses told deputies that a fast-moving blue Toyota Camry was traveling southbound between Corey Road and East Vilas Road when it drifted into the northbound lane and then swerved back, according to the release. The Camry then left the roadway and smashed into a tree, coming to a stop upside-down on the edge of an orchard. Deputies responded at 2:15 p.m., the release said. The teen was pronounced dead at the scene. Although next of kin have been notified, the release said that additional family members would be notified before the Sheriff’s office would release his name. A phone call to the public information officer was not returned Sunday night.
