Folsom broke her own North Medford record in the girls 800-meter run by placing third in 2 minutes, 16.93 seconds. She set the record last year in one of her rare runnings of the 800 at 2:18.33. Folsom also placed second in the 300 hurdles in 44.70, finishing just a shade off the winning time of 44.65 set by Jordan Davis of Camas. In the high jump, Folsom tied for second after clearing 5 feet, 4¼ inches. Kolbi Sims of Eagle High cleared the same mark and placed first after needing fewer attempts. Still not done, Folsom helped North Medford set a state-best mark for the Class 6A level in the 4x400 relay by placing second to 5A Summit. Savannah Greenwade, Sydney Thomas and Jaci Brumble teamed with Folsom to finish in 4:01.98. Summit won in a blistering 3:58.82. North Medford’s Tyren Wolfe also continued his hot streak by placing fifth in the boys 100 (11.10) and fourth in the 200 (22.46). In the freshman boys 3,000, Crater’s Andy Monroe finished second (8:57.56) and teammate Erik Olsen was fourth (9:18.04).
