Josephine County sheriff’s deputies were looking Monday for the house’s resident, 27-year-old Apryl Heatherstream Tamayo, in connection with the search, sheriff’s deputies said. Detectives from the Josephine Interagency Narcotics Team led the morning search at 1024 S.E. Ashely Place, netting 134 marijuana plants in various stages of growth. Of those, 35 plants were growing in the attic with the help of grow lights and other electrical equipment, according to police. The remaining 99 plants were identified as smaller "starter" plants and were found in the residence’s master bedroom, JOINT investigators said. Also found inside the residence were scales, an unspecified amount of methamphetamine and about three-fourths of an ounce of an unknown crystalline substance, which police believe may also be methamphetamine, JOINT detectives said. Advertisement Detectives also found property allegedly stolen around New Year’s Day from the Illinois Valley Fire Department, police said. Narcotics detectives turned that portion of the investigation over to burglary detectives in the sheriff’s department, police said. JOINT detectives asked for the public’s help in finding Tamayo, who was not home at the time of the raid. She is described as a white female, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 135 pounds. She has blonde hair and brown eyes. Tamayo is known to drive a light-colored 1997 Toyota four-door sedan, Oregon license WWD 956. Anyone with information about Tamayo can call the JOINT office at 541-474-5151. JOINT detectives were joined Monday by deputies from the sheriff’s office as well as detectives from the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety.
