While his mother was loading groceries at the rear of the family car, the boy was standing on the sidewalk where a man approached him at about 11 a.m. The man "grabbed his arm and said something like, ‘Come with me,’ " Medford police Lt. Mike Moran said. The mother saw the encounter and the man let go of the boy’s arm, Moran said. "He said, ‘Don’t talk to strangers’ and walked away," Moran said. The woman went to a nearby business and phoned police, Moran said. "We don’t know if this was an actual attempted kidnapping or just some drunk harassing a kid," Moran said. "We’re taking this seriously. Advertisement "We definitely want to talk to this guy," Moran said. The man was described as a white male in his late 30s with a medium to stocky build and unkept black hair. He was last seen wearing tan or beige slacks and a beige Hawaiian shirt. He may have been a passenger in an older-model white GMC sedan driven by a woman described only as white with curly hair, Moran said. Moran said anyone with information about the case should telephone Medford police at 770-4784.
