Crater drama students chosen for Edinburgh Fringe Festival Wednesday Apr 5, 2017 at 12:19 PM Crater Renaissance Academy of Arts and Sciences Drama and Dance Department, under the direction of Matthew Reynolds, has been selected to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, considered the world’s largest and most prestigious arts festival. The Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, includes more than 3,000 performances of music, theater, dance, comedy and more during its three-week run. Crater Renaissance Academy Drama and Dance Department’s performance will be showcased at an American High School Theatre Festival venue in Edinburgh in August 2018. Crater was selected by the AHSTF board of advisers, made up of college theater professionals. The board reviews all completed applications and recognizes high schools based on their most recent bodies of work, community involvement, philosophies, awards and recommendations. Crater drama students, their parents and teachers are raising funds to finance their two-week trip to England and Scotland.
