Brown had a team-best 527 assists with 23 aces serving for the Challengers (23-2), who captured the league crown in undefeated fashion for a fifth straight year. St. Mary’s junior Mackenzie Addington received defensive player of the year honors to go along with first-team acknowledgment. The other locals on the first team were Cascade Christian senior middle Ellie Brown and junior outside hitter Claire Hawkins and St. Mary’s junior middle Madi Christensen and junior setter Ashley Rietmann.
