Bailey shuts out Honkers LAKEVIEW - Henley's Brad Bailey threw a complete-game shutout, running his string of scoreless innings against Lakeview to 16 innings after a 3-0 win on Tuesday. Henley downed the Honkers 1-0 in nine innings the last time the two teams hooked up. On the losing end of both contests was Carl Fairburn, who gave up only three hits and struck out six. Niether hurler was particularly sharp but Bailey, who also gave up only three hits, was just effective enough. "It was cold and wet," said Lakeview coach Jim Copeland. "Both pitchers weren't as sharp as I've seen them before. "It took Carl a couple of innings to get comfortable out there." Fairburn walked four and gave up two first-inning runs. That was more than enough for Bailey as the Hornets finished the regular season with a 16-5 conference mark. Lakeview ended its season 10-16 overall and 7-14 in the Skyline.
