Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Email Story to a Friend February 27, 2006 Emergency Services Felony arrests Fugitive — Chad Allen Borland, 19, no known address. Ashland police arrested Borland Sunday night for being a fugitive from California on an arrest for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was also arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. He was being held without bail late Sunday. Fugitive — Jamie Christopher Robertson, 27, of Witchita Falls, Texas. Medford police arrested Robertson Sunday for being a fugitive from Texas for a drugs arrest. He was being held in jail without bail late Sunday. Criminal mischief — Arthur Robert Ludwick III, 22, of Arroyo Grande, Calif. Ashland police arrested Ludwick on charges of criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and littering. He was lodged in jail late Sunday in lieu of $23,000 bail. Criminal mischief — Clifford Forrest Quigley, 20, no known address. Ashland police arrested Quigley on charges of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. He was lodged in jail late Sunday in lieu of $20,000 bail. Drugs — Gary Lee Jeska, 51, of the 100 block of South Stage Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Jeska on a charge of methamphetamine possession. He was released from jail because of overcrowding. Restricted weapon — Tosh Eagle Erin Ledesma-Boyd, 22, no known street address. Medford police arrested Ledesma-Boyd on a charges of possessing a restricted weapon, possessing methamphetamine and a parole violation. He was being held in jail without bail late Sunday. Advertisement Escape — James Allen Williams Jr., 19, no known address. Medford police arrested Williams on charges of escape, harassment, disorderly conduction and failure to appear for theft charges. He was lodged in jail late Sunday in lieu of $33,000 bail. Resisting arrest — Miranda Lynn Paredes, 26, of the 1700 block of Westwood Dr., Medford. Medford police arrested Paredes on charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and harassment. She was released from jail on $3,000 bail. Crime reports Burglary — 1000 block of Woodrow Lane, Medford. Medford police took a report at 6:30 a.m. Sunday of a theft of $1,000 in cash from a safe. Vandalism — 185 Black Oak Dr., Medford. Medford police took a report at about 10 a.m. of a keyed vehicle. Damage was estimated at $2,500. Fire calls Structure fire — The Medford Fire Department responded Sunday to a structure fire in the 1900 block of Brookhurst Street. Crews arrived at the scene at about noon and quickly extinguished the fire in the attic and roof of a wood shop behind a residence, said Battalion Chief Dan Petersen. The fire caused about $6,000 to $7,000 in damage. The cause was under investigation late Sunday. Grass fire — Jackson County Fire District 5 crews responded to a grass and debris fire at about 1 p.m. Sunday at Emigrant Lake south of Ashland. The fire consumed a burn pile and about one-fourth of an acre of grass and brush before firefighters extinguished it at about 2:30 p.m., said Capt. Richard Scowden. A passerby likely ignited the fire, as the county park ranger did not set it, Scowden said. The incident was classified as an illegal burn, he said. Grass fire — Jackson County Fire District 3 responded to a grass and brush fire Sunday at a dwelling in the 500 block of Ball Road in Eagle Point. Strong winds caused the resident’s open burn to get out of control, said Capt. Richard Torres.
